Indianapolis based Langham Logistics is expanding there Indiana presence to include new sales opportunities in the cities of Ft. Wayne, Evansville and South Bend. These are commissioned sales opportunities for candidates with a strong transportation sales background who seek the opportunity for unlimited income potential and being self-employed as an Independent Contractor.

The Account Executive contributes to meeting Langham goals of exceptional customer service, quality, process improvement, and profitability by meeting individual revenue goals through business development efforts and managing complex sales cycles.  The Account Executive uses a consultative, solutions-based sales approach, selling at high levels within a client organization.  The Account Executive understands high-level business concepts and solutions using financial and business models.

Duties:

•·         Generate sales and deliver on sales revenue goals as defined, using Langham defined sales processes.

•·         Manage aggressive sales funnel of at least 100 prospects with revenue opportunities in excess of $200,000.00, in various stages of the sales cycle.

•·         Meet comprehensive and challenging activity goals and sales expectations as defined.

·         Utilize consultative sales approach to craft solutions that achieve customer needs.

·         Lead account integration and set-up with client and operations department.

•·         Quantify new account revenue opportunities and forecast revenue by account, measure actual against forecast and articulate variances.

•·         Create business plans with specific account development activities for new accounts.

Establish and promote positive communication within Langham internal departments to increase collaboration and reduce inefficiencies.   Respond to e-mails and voice mails in a timely manner.

Represent Langham Logistics:

Demonstrates success in consultative selling, building creative solutions for clients and client relationship management.

Demonstrates effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.  Can effectively communicate with a variety of individuals with diverse backgrounds, education, and economic levels and roles (e.g. ownership, senior management, company employees, customers, etc.).

Demonstrates effective analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills (can gather and analyze data and information and draw conclusions).  Able to think logically and analytically.

Demonstrates ability to use financial and business models.

Experienced in developing account plans, forecasts and margin analysis.

Demonstrates success in delivering on expectations and in achievement of goals.

Expert in networking and building long term relationships.

Demonstrates strong presentation skills.  Can facilitate both large and small group presentations and build audience rapport.

Able to negotiate with and influence others.  Able to resolve conflicts.  Demonstrates ability to overcome objections.

Demonstrates strong customer service orientation.

Proactive in anticipating and alerting others to problems with projects or processes.

Takes initiative and needs little supervision.

Works well in a team environment and as part of a team.

Proficient in basic computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet usage (e-mail).

Demonstrates proficiency in basic mathematics.

Qualifications:

B.S./B.A. in business, marketing, communication or related discipline.

5 years of transportation consultative sales experience. 

Prefer experience in transportation, logistics/distribution and supply management consulting. 

Experience in highly competitive industries and a thorough understanding of value creation.

Experience working at high levels (C-Level) within an organization (both internal and external).

Must be able to work proficiently with computers and other office equipment.

Travel will be based on territory.

Work is performed in a home office environment.
